Let’s discuss the challenges we face with the distributes and/or remote teams. Remember that there is a difference between a group and a team. If you hire 10 people, you don’t have a team of 10. You have a group of 10 people that need to work together to create a team.
✅ A group is a collection of individuals who coordinate their individual efforts.
✅ A team is a group of people who share a common team purpose and several challenging goals.
If you start as a product manager of the distributed or remote team, make sure that there is a team. You need to build the team first if you want to move forward.
