Perfectionism

Product Manager be a perfectionist?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s not a winning combination. As a product manager, you need to experiment, fail, improve, start over at the early stages. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You fail at:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • the idea validation stage⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • sketches stage⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • alpha & beta testing⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • And of cause, after you launch your product, the product is not perfect, you listen to the market, you create a list of adjustments and changes.⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
By definition, you cannot wait until the idea or product is perfect to release it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The earlier you fail the better.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Perfectionism harms your work and inner peace. Moreover, it can lead to burnout.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
